The Aston Martin One-77 has been a long time coming. The super-expensive British supercar has been teased and teased, Aston even having gone so far as showing the car's form on the auto show circuit, only leaving it under a cloth throughout the show.

All that power is thrust upon the poor rear wheels through a new 6 speed true sequential manual unit Aston promises will trickle down through the rest of its product line. The striking 20 inch wheels, carrying huge Pirellis 335mm across out back, wrap new Carbon Ceramic Matrix brake technology which promises increased cooling by transmitting less kinetic energy as heat through the brake fluid and system.

With a promised curb weight of around 1500kg, the One-77 will do the 0-60 run in less than 3.5 seconds, with a top speed in excess of 200 mph. Due to the car's rarity, expense and beauty, your average Aston Martin One-77 owner will probably never have enough road to hit 150 let alone 200 mph or a race track.

Already for more than 20 years, the Bavarian company MANSORY has been developing and producing fascinating car modifications for demanding customers all over the world. The latest creation of the top-class manufacturer is called MANSORY CYRUS and is based on the Aston Martin DBS or DB9. Perfect processing and an elaborate technology are the hallmarks of this masculine aerodynamic power pack. A coilover suspension provides the best road holding and emphasises the striking rims in XXL. The refinement is perfected by an exclusive interior programme.

Tailor-made processing and perfect surfaces confirm the superb quality of the MANSORY designer outfit. The CYRUS aerodynamics components are made of extremely light „prepreg autoclav carbon” and do not only include wing extensions for the front and back, but also side skirt attachments and linings. At the front axle, a newly designed front skirt with enlarged air inlets provides the optimal ventilation for the twelve-cylinder aggregate. The CYRUS front is visually enhanced with the newly designed carbon bonnet. With its two slotted “power domes” additional fresh air is directed to the front motor. Also at the tail, the refining engineers have invented something extraordinary in order to perfect the visual appearance of the Aston Martin. The newly designed rear skirt with the integrated diffuser emphasises the superior look and provides space for four stainless steel end pipes of the sonorous sport exhaust system.

Design wheels in XXL

The optimal road grip is provided by the 9×20 and 10,5×21 inch rims in combination with Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres measuring 255/30ZR20 at the front and 295/25ZR21 at the back. The design of the ultra-light forged wheel thereby unites sportiness and elegance and perfectly fills out the wheel houses. In addition, an optimally adjusted coilover suspension lowers the centre of gravity of this noble sports car and renders perfect road holding characteristics.

Aston Martin DBR9 2005

Aston Martin DBR9 was shown to a selected audience for the first time on 4th November 2004 at Aston Martin's headquarters at Gaydon in the UK. An intensive testing programme followed prior to the Aston Martin DBR9's debut race at the 12 hours of Sebring, Florida, in March 2005.

Aston Martin Racing run two cars at Sebring and then moved to Europe to prepare for the Le Mans 24 hours in June 2005. This marked Aston Martin's return to the race which was won outright in 1959 with Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby. In recognition of this, the Aston Martin DBR9 will follow the Le Mans-winning DBR1 and Works DB3S and carry the same green and yellow livery as the cars which dominated sports car racing in the late 1950s.

Aston Martin Racing will build 12 Works cars, which will be run by three Works teams in the major international GT series. A limited run of only 20 racing cars, prepared to the same specification, will also be built and made available to selected customers to race or keep in private collections.

The Aston Martin DBR9 GT racing car is based on the latest Aston Martin production sports car - the Aston Martin DB9 - but is significantly modified for competition use. The DB9's bonded-aluminium body architecture is shared with the Aston Martin DBR9 and provides both with a lightweight rigid chassis. The race engine uses the same aluminium cylinder block and head as the DB9's 450bhp 6-litre V12 unit, but with racing modification it is expected to produce in the region of 600bhp.

The Aston Martin DBR9 was styled by Aston Martin Racing's own design team who made extensive use of Computational Fluid Dynamics to optimise the aerodynamics before producing the final body surface. The panels are hand made from carbon-fibre composite, helping the car to meet its 1,100kg minimum weight and giving it a power to weight ratio of 550bhp per tonne - more than double that of the road car.
